Jacob Yeates is a freelance illustrator and art educator from Iowa City, Iowa. Driven by a love of art, literature, and stress, Yeates received a Drawing BFA and English minor from the University of Iowa in 2013, and an MFA in Visual Studies at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 2017. Yeates’s work has received grant funding from the Minnesota State Arts Board, Freedom and Captivity, and MPD150, and has been featured by Society of Illustrators Los Angeles, The Matador Review, 3x3, Creative Quarterly, Paper Darts, Illozine, IH8 WAR and Little Village Magazine, as well as appearing in multiple exhibitions in Iowa and Minnesota.

Yeates is currently living in Minneapolis, Minnesota teaching as a college instructor and continues daily in developing drawing, illustration, and other stress-producing practices.
